Privacy Policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers lotpayportal.com and every LotPay payment portal. LotPay runs portals for car dealerships and landlords ("businesses"). The business you pay keeps its own records about you and has its own privacy practices for them.
2. Information we collect
- From the business you pay: your name, phone number, email address, account or stock number, balance, due dates and payment history. For car lots this can include your vehicle and insurance status. For rentals it can include your unit and rent amount.
- From you: your login details, the payments you make, and anything you send through the portal, like a maintenance request.
- From card payments: the amount, date, approval status, a payment reference number, and the card type, like Visa debit. You type your full card number and security code into the payment processor's secure form, and LotPay never receives them.
- From businesses that apply: the details on the application, such as business name, contact name, phone, email and address.
- Automatically: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and visit times, kept in server logs to run and protect the service. The portal saves your sign-in in your browser so you stay logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use it
- To show you your account and take your payments
- To record your payments for the business
- To send receipts, reminders and account messages for the business
- To answer your questions and fix problems
- To prevent fraud and keep the portal secure
- To bill businesses for LotPay and follow the law
4. Who we share it with
- The business you pay. They own your account records and see the payments you make.
- Our payment processor, to process card payments and refunds and to check for fraud.
- Service providers that host our software and data or send our emails and text messages. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect against fraud.
- A new owner, if LotPay is sold or merged. This policy keeps applying to your information.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't share your phone number or text-message consent with anyone for their marketing.
5. How we protect it
Every LotPay page uses HTTPS. Card payments are handled by a payment processor that meets the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Access to account information is limited to the business and the people who run LotPay, and it requires a password.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while the business uses LotPay. After that, we keep it only as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal reasons.
7. Your choices
- To correct your account details, contact the business you pay.
- To ask what information LotPay has about you, or to ask us to delete it, email brock@lotpayportal.com. Some records, like payment history, may have to be kept for the business's legal and accounting needs.
- To stop text messages, tell the business.
8. Children
LotPay isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
